Explore the timeline of events that we have hosted to work towards our mission up to today. Members volunteer to earn their hours towards the nationally recognized President's Volunteer Service Award, which Project Code Red Inc is a certifying organization for.
To kick off 2024, the Code Red LA team members visited Huntington Beach shortly after a business trip and meetup in Dana Point, CA. Inspired by the one-man-team who was picking up trash at Dana Point, the leadership team of Project Code Red decided to launch it's own initiative in Huntington Beach. At the conclusion of the 2.5 mile cleanup, the team helped cleanup over 30 pounds of trash off the public beach.
Even small gestures can mean the most at times, which is why members of Project Code Red took the time to write letters to the patients at St. Jude during Valentine's Day 2021, Christmas 2023, and Valentine's Day 2024. St. Jude expressed their gratitude for the many messages we sent in to help make holidays better for children in the hospital.
Our volunteers go out of their way to seek out volunteering and leadership opportunities within their communities. From working teaching Girl Scouts coding at the United States Air Force Academy to forming teams for cleaning up California's beaches, our volunteers do it all. Through being a President's Volunteer Service Award Certifying Organization, Project Code Red encourages its members to reach out and be leaders in all aspects of volunteer work. During 2024, we have logged over 200 volunteer hours as an organization, impacting thousands of individuals with our service.
We bring our viewership to aspiring streamers and creators through Code Red Raids, where members of Code Red simultaneously join a streamer's livestream to boost their viewership and an occasional donation. Even a small raid of a few viewers can help boost the motivation of an hard-working creator as shown in this video.
Our streamers and content creators ran charity stream broadcasts in support of the StackUP military charity Call to Arms program. This program helps spread the power of video games to the military community to help reduce active-duty and veteran suicide and make military life more enjoyable. Project Code Red worked to raise over $500 to directly support veterans and active duty service members in less than 3 months. Even following our nonprofit establishment in 2023, we were able to hit our campaign's goal again.
The majority of our management previously volunteered with the American Red Cross in the Los Angeles Youth Chapter, totaling to over 100 volunteer hours with the Red Cross. Project Code Red has also hosted fundraisers and donations with the Red Cross, raising over $100 for the organization on top of volunteering. Project Code Red also participated as a team in the Rescue Royale challenge, an event held to help the victims of Hurricane Ian 2022. Prior to receiving its own nonprofit designation, the Code Red team used its funding to support other charities. Using revenue generated from our streamers and creators, we were able to donate to other charities on top of those listed above. These donations go to charities like Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Step Up For Mental Health, UNICEF, Project HOPE, the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation, Civil Air Patrol, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, etc.
On top of supporting the world and gaming communities at large, Project Code Red also supports our own members in achieving their dreams. We are partnered with two organizations: Prime Formula Tutoring and SiNet Tutoring, both based in the Southern California area, to provide learning assistance to our member base. Prime Formula Tutoring is run by Chris Moncrief, MS Applied Mathematics. SiNet Tutoring is a local student run organization originally founded by Code Red Manager Yash Kadakia, offering services around Irvine, CA.
Many of our members are aspiring creators, entrepreneurs, and freelancers. Project Code Red provides free assistance and advice for personal finances and how to manage the development of these sole proprietorships. General financial courses and lessons are offered in the form of masterclasses on credit and retirement. Code Red CEO, Jaden, also appeared on the Credit Card Berkeley-Stanford Podcast, in Episode 40.
